Cord Blood America® was founded in 2003 with the vision of bringing the life saving potential of stem cells to families nationwide and internationally.
Since 2006 Cord Blood America, Inc has merged several cord blood banks into CorCell:
- Cord Partners - Los Angeles
- CA CORD - Long Island, NY
- CureSource - Charleston, SC
On September 28, 2009 Cord Blood America consolidated all operation locations and opened their new Cryogenic Laboratory and Headquarters in Las Vegas, NV.
Cord Blood America continues to grow Internationally:
- March 24, 2010 – CBAI acquired 51 percent of stellacure GmbH, the third largest cord blood banking service in Germany
- March 31, 2010 – CBAI signed a License and Cooperation Agreement for the processing and storage of umbilical cord blood in China with AXM Pharma, Inc. (Pink Sheets: AXMP)
- April 2010 – CBAI signed a Letter of Intent to purchase controlling interest in BioCells, Inc., headquartered in Argentina, with affiliates under development in Peru, Colombia, Bolivia, Panama and Puerto Rico
- September 2010 – CBAI purchased controlling interest in BioCells, Inc., headquartered in Argentina, with affiliates under development in Peru, Colombia, Bolivia, Panama and Puerto Rico
- February 2011 – CBAI purchased the assets of RGI, Chicago, IL.
- April 2011, CBAI purchased the assets through foreclosure on NeoCells, Inc.
